ILCA 6 Youth World Championships

Later this month, 12 Youth ILCA sailors will travel to Dziwnow, Poland to compete in the ILCA 6 Youth World Championships.

Some sailors have departed already to travel/prepare for the regatta. The team will partake in some training days, to familiarise themselves with the venue, before competing on the 1st - 9th July.

The team consists of 12 sailors, 9 x boys & 3 x girls. These sailors are being supported by two coaches, Annie Eastgate (QLD) & Rhett Gowans (VIC).

This event will be enormous, attracting just shy of 400 ILCA’s, making it one of the largest ILCA regatta’s!

The VLA is proud to see four Victorian sailors heading over for the event –

Hamish Gilsenan, Patrick Cummin, Lucas James & Angus Mcintyre.

These sailors will have the support of a familiar face, Rhett Gowans – VLA Head Coach, is heading over with the team, we wish you all the fair winds and the best of luck!
