Early arrivals, storage and container arrangements

Royal Geelong Yacht Club (RGYC)

Early arrivals

If you are planning to arrive in Geelong before the 13th of March 2020 we would appreciate if you could contact the host club and advise of your arrival plans. Please contact Carolyn Flett, Carolynf@rgyc.com.au, +61 438 887 804.

Trailer storage

Trailer parking will be available at Limeburners Point, less than 5 minutes drive from the Club.  Limeburners Point is a concrete 3 lane, deepwater boat ramp.  RIBS may be launched from this location and RGYC will have a fenced compound in place to store trailers.

The key to the gate can be collected and signed for at the reception at RGYC and must be returned after securing the gate.

Vehicle parking

Whilst there is no free competitor car parking available on site at RGYC, the Geelong city centre provides a range of public parking options close by. There are a range of 3 hour parking options around the club and all day paid parking is available along sections of Ritchie Boulevard and Eastern Beach Reserve (1-2 minutes’ walk from the club).

Please refer to the City of Greater Geelong website for a detailed summary of parking options along the waterfront.

There is no available space at RGYC for the storage of containers.

A limited amount of container storage is available at Limeburners Point (see map above) however the area will not be secured. Containers should be locked and no equipment left in the open.  No responsibility will be taken for any damage or theft at any time. We recommend appropriate insurances be taken out.

Delivery of containers at RGYC must be pre-arranged via the host club and be conducted promptly on the day of arrival. Please contact Carolyn Flett, Carolynf@rgyc.com.au, +61 438 887 804.

Our strong preference is for containers to be stored at commercial facilities off-site by arrangement with your shipping / transportation agent.
